Here’s the scenario, my wife and I have been trying to have children for 15 years. We have tried natural means of course, we are on the adoption list waiting and waiting (I’ll tell more about this horrible tale another day), and we have tried expensive medical options. There has been a bunch of prayer going forth for a miracle as well and someday it is going to happen.
But here is what I don’t get, society funds “death” choices not “Life” choices. In other words, if you are promiscuous and find yourself pregnant and to you that child (fetus) is “unwanted” or an inconvenience. You can have it destroyed by a government funded abortion. In Canada, you can do this at any stage of the pregnancy. This is a death choice, a human dies, and our tax dollars fund it.
But if you find yourself in a place where you can’t get pregnant and there are no available children for adoption because so many are being destroyed in abortion clinics (just one reason), then you are smack out of luck. Sorry, no funding for your medical procedures, no funding for international adoptions, oh and by-the-way, don’t advertise to anybody that you are looking to adopt… oh Lord help us!!
What kind of a society have we developed here. We have made choices that push us away from Biblical founding principles under the guise that the things of God are right-wing and intolerant only to find ourselves so far left we’re fascist (now thats far-left). Choosing who shall live and who shall die based on their convenience to us is a sick state, and I believe reflects an evolutionary influenced society. Survival of the fittest. Rascism finds its shelter in that thinking as well afterall which race is the most “evolved” from the stinking thinking thinkers.
We need to get back to a God-fearing reality with a higher authority that keeps us accountable. God asks us to choose and gives us the choice. Deuteronomy 30:19
“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”
Imagine a society, where we choose life, support life, cherish life …
